Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership
Mary Baldwin is proud to have the only all-women corps of cadets in the nation. The Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL) is a highly regarded leadership training program emphasizing the values of discipline, integrity, and service for both military and civilian career paths.
Cadets benefit from:
- A network of support for improved academic outcomes
- The development of strong leadership skills
- Physical training for health and wellness
- Bonding with fellow cadets
In fact, 95% of Mary Baldwin alumni believe their VWIL education gave them an edge over those without a military college background.

Virginia Women鈥檚 Institute for Leadership (VWIL)
The Virginia Women鈥檚 Institute for Leadership (VWIL) at 香蜜影视 is the nation鈥檚 only all-female corps of cadets. Through its regimental system and ROTC program, VWIL offers comprehensive leadership training, emphasizing accountability, adherence to standards, and the chain of command.
Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)
ROTC provides students with the chance to participate in military training while pursuing their college education. You can either commit to serving after graduation or participate in the program for a shorter period without any post-college obligations.
Mary Baldwin College for Women (MBCW)
The Mary Baldwin College for Women is a one-of-a-kind program focused on preparing women to be leaders. Drawing on the long legacy of Mary Baldwin as an institution dedicated to empowering women, the College for Women offers women-centered programming relevant to current events, and experiential learning to build confidence and empathy.
